WHYTE & MACKAY PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS RETURNS TO EXETER!

BRITAIN'S biggest indoor sporting event will return to the Westpoint Arena in March 2010, as the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts heads to Exeter.

Around 4,000 fans packed into the Exeter venue for darts' first visit to the Westpoint Arena earlier this year, which featured the likes of Phil "The Power" Taylor and James "The Machine" Wade.

The Sky Sports-televised tournament will return to Exeter next year for the fourth of 14 league nights, which will be held on Thursday March 4.

The capacity at the Westpoint Arena has also be increased to allow more fans to see the world’s top players in action.

Current Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts champion Wade will be amongst the eight competitors, as will 14-time World Champion and four-time Premier League winner Taylor.

They are likely to be joined by five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld and former Premier League Darts finalists Terry Jenkins and Mervyn King.

With the top six players from the PDC Order of Merit following the Ladbrokes.com.World Darts Championship earning automatic Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts places, alongside two Wildcards, there is fierce competition for spots in the remaining tournaments this year.

Players such as Ronnie Baxter, UK Open runner-up Colin Osborne and two-time World Champion Dennis Priestley are all in the running to battle for places.

Tickets

Tickets for the Whyte & Mackay Premier League Darts will cost £30 for floor tables and £20 for tiered seats.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday September 1 exclusively to annual subscribers to the PDCtv area of the PDC's official website (www.pdc.tv) before going on general sale on Monday September 7.

Doors open at 6.00pm.
Event starts at 7.00pm
Event finishes between 10.00pm - 10.30pm.
Please note, access to the Westpoint site will not be permitted before 5.00pm, any customer arriving before 5.00pm will be sent away and asked to return at 5.00pm.

Directions to Westpoint Arena
Exit the M5 at junction 30 and follow the A3052 Sidmouth road for one mile. Westpoint Arena is on your left hand side.

For satellite navigation please use EX5 1DJ or Oil Mill Lane (this road is opposite the main entrance).

Parking & Drop Off and Pickup Facilities
The Westpoint site will be open from 5.00pm and has ample onsite free parking.

There will be a designated drop off & pickup point located just outside the front entrance to Westpoint Arena, please ensure you pass this information onto your driver.

Public Services

Stagecoach are operating a shuttle bus service (bus number X52) every 20 minutes from Exeter Bus Station and Exeter St David’s Train Station to Westpoint Arena, please see bus service times and fare prices below:-

Bus departure times from Exeter Bus Station via Exeter St David’s Station to Westpoint Arena; 5 .00pm, 5.20pm, 5.40pm, 6.00pm, 6.20pm, 6.40pm, 7.00pm, 7.20pm.

Bus departure times from Westpoint Arena to Exeter Bus Station and Exeter St David’s Station; 9 .40pm, 10.00pm, 10.20pm, 10.40pm, 11.00pm.

Fare Prices; A single fare is £3.00 and a return fare is £4.90 (Please note a Dayrider ticket is £4.00 and can also be used for the return journey, providing you keep hold of your ticket).

Licensed Bars and Catering Facilities
Licensed bars and catering facilities will be available in the main arena from 6.00pm.
Please note, only food/drink purchased onsite maybe consumed within.

Terms and conditions of sale;

The PDC reserves the right of admission.
Random searches will take place upon entry and is a condition of entry.
Customers are respectfully requested to behave in an orderly manner at all times.
Drunkenness will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be asked to leave the premises.
Please do not shout out whilst the players are throwing.
Session times are subject to change and the PDC will make every effort to give as much notice as possible should this be unavoidable. Please check with the Box Office or visit www.planetdarts.tv for any changes.
Ticket holders are requested to take their seats at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.
The PDC reserves the right to fill any seat after this time.
The Broadcast may contain strobe lighting and smoke effects. Any person who may be adversely affected by such effects should take notice and take appropriate action.
No football colours will be allowed into the venue.
No tickets are to be re-sold at a greater price than the face value on the ticket. Any persons attempting to do so will have those tickets made void.
Any spectators are reminded that the writing of any message deemed offensive or inflammatory on 180 cards or similar will lead to perpetrators being asked to leave the premises.
Please note the use of flash photography is expressly barred as is any filming of the event for any purpose.
Mobile phones should be switched off by all customers when in the main auditorium.
